K9Helper is run by Helen and Dave assisted by their 23 year old son Chris. They have seven dogs and five cats of their own - not forgetting Suzie the parrot!

All three hold a recognised certificate in Canine First Aid.

 "We are dedicated to giving our clients and their pets the best possible service.  We are lucky that we have grown-up sons and daughters who look after our cats if we go away, but many people have to rely on a kindly neighbour to feed and water them and that is not always possible. So we decided to set up our own dog walking and pet sitting service, We walk dogs because we enjoy it. Every dog or cat we care for is treated in the same way that we treat our own animals. We pride ourselves on "going the extra mile" and our past and present clients will bear witness to this. We use the pure dog listening method with all dogs which ensures that the dogs are calm and happy"

In February 2009 Helen and Dave travelled to Yellowstone Park in Montana USA to study the wolves. The knowledge they have gained from watching wolves interact in the wild is invaluable.

Both Helen and Dave are volunteers for the RSPCA.
